Gangneung Travel Map

Gangneung | March 2026 My first trip right after arriving in Korea was to Gangneung! It had been over ten years since I last visited, and there were so many wonderful places. We stayed near Jeongdongjin Station, and watching the sunrise in the early morning made me understand why people come here for New Year's – the sun rose so clearly that I couldn't even oversleep, haha. The Jjamppong Sundubu and cafes my friends recommended were all fantastic, so I had a really fulfilling and fun trip! (´ｰ｀).｡*･ﾟﾟ Lemon, who was absolutely set on not eating gaebul (sea squirt), said it tasted better than it looked. I'd never been to a sheep farm, so we rushed to Daegwallyeong with only 30 minutes left before closing. We saw snow, ate makguksu, and had such a great time. Even though I ended up getting the flu right after getting home and had to get a jab, my Gangneung trip was super satisfying! 🦭🐑❄️
