Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Yuno, a mobile social app operated by FreeTimes App Pty Ltd. Yuno lets people create profiles, share content, discover local moments, publish events, create or book paid activities, publish or apply for jobs, manage selected Casual shifts, and use related payment features where available.
By creating an account or using Yuno, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Guidelines, our Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Organiser Terms if you organise paid activities, and the Job Marketplace Terms if you publish, promote, discover, apply for, offer, accept, manage, perform, pay for, or receive payment for work through Yuno. These linked policies form part of these Terms.
Eligibility and Account Responsibility
You must meet the minimum age and legal requirements in your location to use Yuno. Job Posters, Applicants, and Workers must also meet the age, capacity, work-right, licence, qualification, and other requirements that apply to the relevant recruitment or work. You are responsible for keeping your account secure, using accurate information, and all activity that occurs through your account.
Events and Paid Activities
Yuno may allow users to publish, discover, reserve, buy, sell, or manage tickets or bookings for events, experiences, classes, gatherings, and other paid activities. Unless Yuno clearly states otherwise for a specific activity, each paid activity is created, offered, sold, organised, and delivered by the user, business, or organisation that publishes it (the organiser), not by Yuno.
Yuno provides the platform, discovery, booking, communication, moderation, payment facilitation, and related tools. Unless Yuno expressly identifies itself as the organiser or seller of record for a specific paid activity, Yuno acts only as a platform intermediary and limited collection agent for the organiser for the purpose of collecting attendee payments, deducting Yuno fees and permitted amounts, and remitting the remaining payout to the organiser.
Organisers are responsible for the activity, the accuracy of the listing, attendee communications, venue arrangements, permits, safety, age restrictions, capacity limits, insurance, accessibility, cancellation handling, and compliance with all applicable laws. Organisers must not list activities they cannot lawfully and safely provide.
Users who book or attend activities are responsible for reviewing the activity details, price, date, time, location, entry conditions, refund rules, age limits, and any organiser requirements before completing a booking. Yuno does not guarantee that a user-generated activity will occur, meet your expectations, be suitable for you, or be free from risk.
Additional organiser obligations are set out in the Organiser Terms. Refund and cancellation handling is explained in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Jobs, Recruitment, and Casual Shifts
Yuno may allow users and businesses to publish, promote, discover, apply for, offer, accept, manage, perform, pay for, or receive payment for jobs and Casual shifts. Yuno provides platform, discovery, application, communication, moderation, shift-recording, payment-facilitation, and support tools. Unless Yuno expressly agrees otherwise in writing for a specific service, the Job Poster—not Yuno—is responsible for the recruitment decision, workplace, employment or engagement relationship, wages and entitlements, payroll, tax, superannuation, insurance, workplace safety, and legal compliance.
Job Listings, wage prompts, classifications, profiles, applications, reviews, and other job-related information may be created by users, imported from third parties, or generated from limited information. Yuno does not guarantee their accuracy, availability, legality, suitability, safety, identity, payment, performance, or outcome. Additional responsibilities, payment rules, cancellation rules, indemnities, disclaimers, and limitations are set out in the Job Marketplace Terms.
Prices, Fees, Taxes, and Payments
Prices, fees, taxes, and charges will be shown at or before checkout where required. Mandatory fees and charges will be disclosed before payment. If a payment surcharge applies and there is no surcharge-free way to pay, the minimum unavoidable surcharge will be included in the displayed price where required by law.
Unless Yuno clearly states otherwise, Yuno charges attendees a service fee for paid activity bookings and does not charge organisers a Yuno commission for standard paid activity bookings. Yuno may introduce, vary, or waive service fees, processing fees, platform fees, commission, or other charges, but applicable attendee charges and organiser charges will be shown before checkout or before the organiser accepts them.
Yuno may charge Job Posters for long-term Job Listings, Featured or urgent placement, Casual shift payment facilitation, and other job-related services. The price, duration, fee basis, currency, and applicable taxes will be shown before purchase or acceptance. Paid placement does not guarantee views, applications, interviews, attendance, or a successful hire. Job-related charges, remittances, refunds, and recovery rights are explained in the Job Marketplace Terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Payment processing for paid activities may be provided through Stripe, Stripe Connect, or other third-party payment providers. Organisers who receive payouts may be required to create or maintain a connected payment account, complete identity or business verification, and provide bank account, tax, and other information required by Yuno or the payment provider. Your use of payment features may also be subject to the payment provider's terms, policies, privacy notices, fees, reserves, risk controls, and account requirements.
Where Yuno collects payment for an organiser, the amount collected for the activity is collected on behalf of the organiser unless Yuno clearly states otherwise. Yuno may deduct Yuno fees, payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, adjustments, taxes on Yuno fees, and other amounts permitted by these Terms before paying the net amount to the organiser.
Organisers are responsible for setting lawful prices and for all tax, GST, income tax, invoice, receipt, Australian Business Number (ABN), business registration, record keeping, and reporting obligations that apply to their activities, sales, and payouts, unless Yuno expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Yuno is not responsible for calculating, collecting, remitting, or reporting an organiser's taxes unless required by law or expressly stated by Yuno.
If an organiser is registered or required to be registered for GST, the organiser is responsible for ensuring that prices, tax invoices, receipts, and activity listings comply with GST law. If an organiser is not registered for GST, the organiser must not represent that GST is included or issue tax invoices for GST unless legally permitted.
Yuno may request tax, identity, business, bank account, ABN, GST registration, or similar information before enabling paid activities or payouts. If an organiser does not provide information reasonably requested by Yuno, provides inaccurate information, or fails to provide an ABN where required, Yuno may delay payouts, suspend paid activity features, or withhold amounts where required or permitted by law.
Yuno may delay, withhold, cancel, or reverse payments or payouts where reasonably necessary to manage refunds, chargebacks, suspected fraud, policy violations, legal obligations, payment provider requirements, sanctions or screening obligations, or risk to users or Yuno.
Refunds, Cancellations, and Changes
Each paid activity may have organiser-specific cancellation and refund rules, but those rules must comply with applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-excludable rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
If an organiser cancels an activity, materially changes the date, time, location, headline offering, or other important activity details, or cannot safely or lawfully deliver the activity, Yuno may refund attendees the full amount they paid for the affected booking, including the Yuno service fee, unless a different remedy is required or permitted by applicable law. The organiser is responsible for any non-refundable payment provider fees, chargeback costs, tax adjustments, and tax obligations arising from the cancellation, to the extent permitted by law. Yuno may recover those amounts from funds held for the organiser, future payouts, or other amounts owed to the organiser.
If an attendee cancels a paid activity booking through Yuno, Yuno's service fee is non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise. The activity amount payable to the organiser will be refunded to the attendee, subject to the activity listing, Yuno's cancellation flow, payment provider requirements, and applicable law. The organiser remains responsible for any tax adjustments and tax obligations connected with the cancellation or refund.
Yuno may help facilitate refund requests, disputes, or chargebacks, but unless Yuno is the organiser or seller of record for a specific activity, the organiser remains responsible for delivering the activity and handling lawful refund obligations. Refund timing and availability may depend on the payment provider, payment method, fraud checks, chargeback process, connected account balance, and other payment provider requirements.
More detail is available in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Ticket Use, Transfers, and Entry
Tickets, reservations, QR codes, booking references, or other entry credentials may only be used as permitted by the event listing and Yuno features. You must not duplicate, resell, transfer, or misuse tickets in a deceptive, unlawful, or unauthorised way. Users and organisers must comply with applicable ticket resale and anti-scalping laws, including rules that may apply to declared major events or protected events. Organisers may refuse entry where permitted by law and the stated event conditions, including for safety, capacity, age, identity, intoxication, threatening behaviour, or breach of these Terms.
Offline Activity Safety
Yuno is not an emergency, medical, transport, security, or on-site safety service. Attendees are responsible for making reasonable decisions about their own attendance, travel, health, equipment, and personal safety. Organisers are responsible for taking reasonable steps to deliver activities safely and lawfully, including suitable venues, capacity, supervision, emergency planning, accessibility information, and safety instructions where appropriate.
User-Generated Content
Yuno allows users to create, upload, post, share, and interact with user-generated content, including profiles, photos, videos, captions, comments, and other materials. You are responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to share it. Yuno does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-generated content. You retain ownership of content you create, but you grant Yuno a licence to host, display, distribute, modify for formatting, moderate, and operate that content as needed to provide, protect, and improve the service.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
You may not post, share, promote, or engage in content or behaviour that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, abusive, threatening, hateful, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, infringing, spammy, or otherwise violates our Community Guidelines. You may not use Yuno to harass others, impersonate someone, run scams, distribute malware, promote illegal goods or services, create fake or misleading events, sell unauthorised tickets, evade payment rules, or encourage violence or self-harm.
Harassment, Hate Speech, Scams, Spam, and Impersonation
Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, scams, spam, and impersonation are not allowed. Users must not target others with repeated unwanted contact, attack protected characteristics, mislead people for money or account access, manipulate engagement, create deceptive accounts, or pretend to be another person, brand, organisation, or Yuno representative.
Safety Rules
Users must treat others with respect, avoid sharing private information without permission, follow applicable laws, and use reporting and blocking tools when needed. Content involving sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is strictly forbidden.
Content Moderation
Yuno may review, remove, limit distribution of, label, or restrict access to content that appears to violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We may use automated systems, human review, user reports, and other tools to support moderation and safety. We are not required to host, display, or continue making any user content available.
Reporting and Blocking
Users can report content, profiles, comments, or behaviour that may violate our rules. Users may also block other users to limit unwanted interactions. Reports are reviewed and may lead to content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, or other action.
Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other users, abuse Yuno features, evade moderation, misuse payment, ticketing, recruitment, job, shift, resume, or payout features, create excessive refund or chargeback risk, or expose Yuno to legal, financial, regulatory, safety, or security risk. Yuno may also pause or remove listings, applications, offers, shifts, promotions, payments, or payouts where reasonably necessary. Serious violations may result in immediate removal without prior notice. Users may request account deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to lawful retention and unresolved transaction or dispute requirements.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for your interactions, the content you share, and your compliance with these Terms. You should not rely on Yuno for emergency services, legal advice, medical advice, or guaranteed personal safety.
Disputes Between Users
Yuno may provide tools to report events or jobs, request support, or help resolve payment, attendance, application, shift-time, cancellation, no-show, or payout issues, but users, organisers, Job Posters, Applicants, and Workers remain responsible for their own legal obligations and relationships. We may review relevant account, listing, application, resume-access, event, ticket, shift, location, evidence, payment, payout, and communication records where needed to investigate a dispute, enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law. A platform decision does not prevent a person from exercising any statutory right or using a court, tribunal, regulator, or other lawful process.
Platform Reporting and Compliance
Yuno may collect, use, retain, and disclose transaction, payout, identity, tax, account, event, job, application, shift, workplace, dispute, and evidence information where reasonably necessary to operate platform features, comply with law, respond to government or regulator requests, satisfy payment provider requirements, prevent fraud, or meet marketplace, employment-related reporting, platform, tax, or financial obligations. This may include information about organisers, attendees, Job Posters, Applicants, Workers, listings, bookings, applications, work records, gross payments, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and payouts.
Yuno does not provide tax, legal, employment, migration, accounting, financial, insurance, payroll, or safety advice. Users, organisers, Job Posters, Applicants, and Workers should obtain their own professional advice where needed.
Consumer Rights
Our services come with guarantees, rights, and remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit those rights or any employment, privacy, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yuno is not responsible for the acts, omissions, statements, event delivery, recruitment decisions, employment practices, workplace conditions, or services of independent organisers, Job Posters, Applicants, Workers, venues, or other users.
Intellectual Property
Yuno, including its name, branding, design, software, and service features, is owned by Yuno or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, or misuse our services except as allowed by law.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of Yuno from time to time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service. If changes to these Terms are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of Yuno after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You agree that courts located in Victoria, Australia may hear disputes relating to these Terms or your use of Yuno, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
