Yuno policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 August 2026. Yuno is operated by FreeTimes App Pty Ltd, an Australian company.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how FreeTimes App Pty Ltd operates Yuno and how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the Yuno mobile application, website, and related services. This policy is intended to support compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and applicable Australian privacy requirements.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and improve Yuno, verify accounts and businesses, personalise content, operate social, discovery, event, ticketing, job, recruitment, application, shift, payment, payout, and dispute features, measure app performance, support user and workplace safety, respond to support requests, investigate reports, enforce our policies, prevent fraud or abuse, send service-related or safety-related notifications, and comply with legal obligations.

Paid Events, Tickets, and Payments

If you create, buy, sell, reserve, refund, or attend a paid event through Yuno, we may process the information needed to display the event, complete the booking, confirm attendance, calculate fees, pay organisers, process refunds, respond to disputes, detect fraud, and keep required business and legal records. We may also use transaction information to provide customer support, investigate cancellations or chargebacks, and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.

Payment Providers and Payouts

Yuno may use third-party payment, identity verification, tax, banking, fraud prevention, and payout providers. These providers may collect and process personal information directly from you under their own terms and privacy notices. We share only the information reasonably needed for payment processing, identity verification, compliance, fraud prevention, refunds, chargebacks, payouts, and related support.

Jobs, Applications, Resumes, and Shifts

If you publish or manage a Job Listing, we process the information needed to display and moderate the listing, associate it with a business, receive and manage applications, communicate status, operate paid placement, support hiring workflows, prevent scams, investigate reports, and comply with legal or payment requirements.

If you apply for a job, we process your application information so it can be submitted to and reviewed by the relevant Job Poster, and so you and the Job Poster can manage the application. The Job Poster and its authorised users may view your application, profile details, resume, cover note, proposed rate, application status, and related information. Yuno moderators or support personnel may access this information where reasonably necessary for safety, support, dispute resolution, security, policy enforcement, or legal compliance.

For supported Casual shifts, we may process offers, acceptances, locations, scheduled and reported hours, work-base state or territory, payment authorisations, gross payment and platform fee records, payout details, cancellations, no-show reports, overtime, reviews, disputes, and evidence. This information may be shared between the relevant Job Poster and Worker, with payment or payout providers, and with regulators, professional advisers, insurers, or authorities where required or reasonably necessary.

Job Posters must use Applicant information only for legitimate recruitment, hiring, employment administration, safety, legal compliance, and directly related purposes. Yuno cannot control copies lawfully downloaded or retained by a Job Poster outside Yuno, and Applicants may need to contact the Job Poster directly about those copies.

User-Generated Content

Content you post on Yuno may be visible to other users depending on your settings and the features you use. You are responsible for the content you share and should avoid posting private or sensitive information that you do not want others to see.

Photos and Media Uploads

When you upload photos, videos, or other media, we store and process that content so it can be displayed in the app, moderated for safety, and managed according to your account settings and our policies.

Approximate Location

Yuno may use approximate location to help users discover relevant content, improve recommendations, support safety features, and comply with regional requirements. You can manage location permissions through your device settings.

Analytics and Device Information

We may use analytics and device information to understand how Yuno is used, diagnose bugs and crashes, improve performance, protect accounts, detect misuse, and develop safer features. We aim to limit this information to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Advertising Measurement

Yuno uses Meta App Events to understand whether advertising on Meta services, including Facebook and Instagram, leads to app installs, account registration, onboarding, and completed profiles. This helps us measure advertising performance and improve how we allocate our advertising budget.

The information sent for this purpose may include the event type and time, app and operating-system version, device model, language and time-zone settings, general region inferred from the network connection, application package identifier, and a pseudonymous app or device instance identifier. Yuno does not include your name, phone number, email address, photos, messages, resume contents, free-text content, or Yuno account identifier in these Meta events.

Yuno configures this integration not to collect the Android Advertising ID or Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). Disabling these advertising identifiers reduces attribution precision but does not stop the limited app events described above. Meta may process this information outside Australia under its own privacy policy. You can learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy.

Reports and Moderation

Users can report content, posts, profiles, events, jobs, applications, workplaces, shifts, tickets, transactions, or behaviour that may violate Yuno policies. We may review reported content, related account information, application and resume-access records, transaction records, shift data, communications reported to us, dispute evidence, and relevant activity to moderate content, restrict features, suspend accounts, protect users, prevent fraud, process refunds or disputes, or take other safety actions.

Sharing Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to service providers who help us operate Yuno, analytics and infrastructure providers, file-storage and security providers, payment processors, payout providers, identity verification providers, fraud prevention providers, professional advisers, law enforcement or regulators where legally required, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, workplaces, our services, or the public.

Where you buy, reserve, or attend an event, we may share limited booking or attendance information with the event organiser so they can manage the event, verify tickets, provide entry, communicate service-related updates, and handle attendee support. Where you create a paid event, we may share information with payment and payout providers to process organiser payments and meet legal, tax, fraud prevention, or compliance requirements.

Where you apply for a job, we share the application with the relevant Job Poster and its authorised users. Where you publish a job or participate in a supported Casual shift, we may share information with the relevant Applicant or Worker and with providers that support payments, payouts, file security, identity or business verification, notifications, fraud prevention, support, and compliance.

Storage and Protection

We store information using reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, monitoring, backups, and internal procedures for handling personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Data Storage and Overseas Processing

Yuno is operated by FreeTimes App Pty Ltd in Australia. Personal information may be stored or processed in Australia and in other countries where our cloud, analytics, communications, moderation, or infrastructure providers maintain systems. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we will take reasonable steps, where required by Australian privacy law, to ensure that the recipient handles that information in a manner consistent with applicable Australian privacy obligations.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Yuno, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, process payments and payouts, maintain business, employment-related, and tax records, enforce policies, prevent fraud, and maintain safety. Transaction, refund, chargeback, payout, shift, dispute, safety, and compliance records may be retained longer than ordinary user content where required or reasonably necessary. Some content may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.

Application resume files are generally scheduled for deletion 60 days after the relevant Job Listing closes, although an earlier or later date may apply where needed for an active application, shift, dispute, safety issue, legal hold, investigation, or compliance obligation. A resume that a user chooses to save to their Yuno resume library is generally retained for up to 365 days from its most recent use or update and may be renewed when used again. Abandoned upload files are generally removed within 24 hours. Associated application records may remain after the resume file is deleted where reasonably necessary for status history, fraud prevention, disputes, safety, analytics, or legal compliance.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Yuno account and associated personal information by contacting support at hello@yuno.au. Users may also delete their account through the app settings where available. We may ask you to verify account ownership and may need to retain limited information where required or permitted for legal, tax, accounting, payment, payout, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, moderation, or policy enforcement purposes.

Children and Minors

Users must meet the minimum age required under applicable law to use Yuno. Yuno is not intended for users who are below that minimum age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required. Content involving sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to authorities.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service is completely secure, and users should protect their devices, login codes, and account access.

Australian Privacy Rights

If you are in Australia, you may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions under Australian law. You may also contact us with privacy questions or complaints. We will take reasonable steps to respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Data Breach Response

If we become aware of an eligible data breach under Australian privacy law, we will take reasonable steps to contain and assess the incident and notify affected individuals and regulators where required.

Your Choices

You can update profile information, manage device permissions, delete saved resumes where available, withdraw a job application where the feature permits, delete content where available, block users, report content, and request access, correction, account deletion, or support assistance. Withdrawing an application does not necessarily delete a copy already viewed or downloaded by a Job Poster or information Yuno must lawfully retain.
