My 2025: A Year of Firsts

Summary of 2025 This year, my life had dramatic changes. I'm truly grateful for the company of my family and friends ❤️ 1st year of my PhD 1st time having cats (two babies) 1st time attending my bestie’s wedding in Indo (cried like a baby) 1st time hosting professional networking events 1st time working in fields in Horsham 1st time doing a 20min presentation in English 1st time doing pole dance (quite painful!) 1st time working in retail (yum) Also 1st time living in Melbourne without my besties who went home after graduation 🥲 This year, I faced so many challenges and felt lonely because life isn't the same anymore. I have more time alone and it’s really hard to move on from what I had during my master's, which was the happiest time in my life. Being a PhD student has much uncertainty, always doing problem-solving, and experiments always go the opposite of expectation. BUT! I still enjoy my life. I know this is what I have to go through as I get older, and I’m grateful for what I have. My family and friends give me love and encouragement to keep going. My two baby girls ran into my life ❤️ They are always waiting for me and give me love. You are the best thing in my life ❤️ Time with friends becomes very precious, especially since most of us are not in the same country. I made new friends from pole dance and my first retail job, and all of you make my life happier and help me grow more! I feel more confident now, hehe. These two things boosted my confidence a lot! At Koko Black I had never known my English was enough to do a retail job here, to explain things to customers, to handle the busiest time periods, but I did it!! 🔥 Love you all and love chocolate ❤️ Anyway, the changes this year are hard for me to get used to, but it’s a great year, so why not!
