Happy Mother's Day, Mummy!

Today, 24 years ago, I was already 4 months old; which means today is Mummy's 24th Mother's Day as a mum. I really think growing up is a wonderful process. From being naive and not understanding much as a child, to slowly starting to grasp why Mummy used to say and do certain things; although honestly, there are still some things I don't quite get (after all, the generation gap really exists, and our post-2000 generation's thinking is indeed a bit different), I've truly started to realise that behind many things, there's unspoken love hidden. Looking back, my life from childhood to now has actually been very good. We weren't the wealthiest family, but I never felt like I lacked anything. I know there was a time when Mummy might have blamed herself, feeling she made us suffer. But I want to tell you, I honestly never felt like I suffered at all. Instead, I'm very grateful that the process allowed me to see some people and things more clearly earlier on, and to appreciate everything I have now even more. We've always been getting better and better. It's okay if others don't understand, I do. So, I really hope you won't have those self-blaming thoughts anymore, alright? Thank you for always supporting and encouraging me, and thank you for always being tolerant of us, accepting our generation's ideas and choices. I know some things might really take you a bit of time to understand and digest, but thank you for being willing to spend time trying and understanding us. I know I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn, but I've also been working hard, hoping that one day, I can truly become an excellent and happy person. There's one more thing I want to say. Although you're a mum, your daily behaviour is actually cuter than mine. You talk rubbish all day, sing strange songs (very loudly too), exaggerate your words, and even do a "freestyle" dance that makes me want to pretend I didn't see it, but these have actually become a very "cute" part of my daily life. (Saving your face 😌) You wouldn't stop even if I told you to, so just carry on 😅😂 Finally, I want to say, Mummy, you've really given so much for us. In the future, I hope you can think more about yourself, truly. We've grown up, and looking after ourselves is actually fine now, we'll ask for your opinion occasionally, but you really don't need to worry about everything for us until the last minute. In the days to come, please, live well for yourself, alright? Happy Mother's Day, Mummy 💐 . . . . . Right, I'm going to
