My Jazz Debut: A Week Later

Still living in the dream one week after it's over! I made my debut performing the Jazz show on that special evening. It was so special to be invited as a Jazz Violinist to be part of this year’s artists cohort, especially since I only made my debut as a Jazz violinist this year!
My heart is full and satisfied, filled with loads of gratitude. Performing with [Vocalist Name] on vocals and my newly formed Jazz Quartet, [Drummer Name] on drums, [Bassist Name] on bass, and [Pianist Name] on piano – going through the set as a tribute to HK culture and pop music, all the way exploring the depth of living (and the verge of dying) with original tunes, intertwined with Arvo Part’s classical sacred minimalist composition, (plus the beautiful backing vocal of [Backing Vocalist Name]) gave me so much emotional impact from beginning till end. I cherished every single moment during rehearsal, waiting backstage, on stage, and the embraces afterwards. What a privilege for me to perform for a FULL HOUSE audience and have them let me open up my soul and respond to the musical ebbs and flows. It meant the world to me.
Also, thank you [Collaborator Name] for inviting me to play Bossa Nova with you and [Collaborator Name]! Those 10 minutes on stage were so joyous, and I will remember them greatly.
And to all those people whom I met during [Event Name] – may we have plenty of collaborations, no matter if it's in Vancouver, Toronto, Taiwan, or anywhere. Music is the food and sustenance to our souls, and may our music make a great impact in this world. Our time together was short, and too many great performances were missed. However, I know it is not a goodbye, but just the beginning of many fruitful collaborations across genres and breaking more boundaries.
Thank you so much for all these wonderful memories and moments, and may our musical dreams come true.
