My NZLAC Latte Art Journey

This year at NZLAC, I came 4th.
I made a few critical mistakes on stage, and unfortunately my patterns didn’t come out as well as I had hoped. But that’s competition!
Latte art championships are always a learning process. There are so many unexpected situations that can happen on stage, and even after competing for many years, I’m still learning how to adapt quickly, stay focused, and perform under pressure.
But seriously, I really enjoyed my time on stage this year. I was able to share my thoughts, my message, and what I’ve been working on.
One of the biggest challenges I set for myself was to pour whilst talking. Presentation has always been one of the areas I wanted to improve, so being able to challenge that weakness on stage meant a lot to me.
I’m also incredibly happy to see my friend and my very first latte art student take the crown this year.
You deserve to be the champion. You showed your talent, dedication, and passion throughout this journey. I’m proud of you, and I’m genuinely excited to see you represent New Zealand on the world stage.
For me, competition has never only been about the result. It’s about challenging myself, learning from mistakes, sharing ideas, and continuing to grow as a latte artist.
Lastly, I just want to share some of the work, ideas, and designs I developed throughout this championship journey.
Still learning. Still creating. Still moving forward.
