2.22 Today's the last day of my final placement. Finally graduating and officially becoming a physiotherapist! 🥹🥹🥹 Nearly 6 years. Everything's been incredibly hard-won. Experienced countless failures, losses, and disappointments. So grateful I didn't give up.. Basically, every moment I wanted to give up. I know I'm not a clever person. When I was little, I was the kind of kid who'd only get 50 or 60 marks in school exams. Chemistry and biology exams, I'd almost fail every time. Until DSE results day. Looking at my transcript, only 1X marks. How lost and helpless I felt then, I believe anyone who's been through it will understand. Basically, I ran to apply for every associate degree programme. So confused, didn't know which path to take.. So grateful to my dad. Don't know where he got the belief from. Gave up things he could have enjoyed himself. Took a gamble, letting his son go abroad for a year to do a foundation course to get into physiotherapy. At the time, I told myself, No matter how much I usually loved to play, This was a one-time chance, give it my all. That was the first time in my life I'd had such strong conviction to do something well. Not just for myself, but a promise to my family. In the end, I was lucky enough to get in, despite all the thorns along the way.. Didn't expect That was just the start of another challenge. I thought once I got in, I could spend more time on music in the first year. But in the first year, I was already pulling countless all-nighters in the library, devouring anatomy and so on. Basically, the library was where most of us spent our time 🥲 Every time there was a placement exam, the pressure would be immense. Because if you failed, you'd be delayed by a year. While juggling music, I almost gave up at one point. Then, year after year, I slowly slogged through it 😮‍💨 I'm not saying all this to show off how amazing I am or to complain about how tough it was. It's purely to share a little bit of my experience with everyone. If someone who used to only get 50 or 60 marks can do it, Every single one of you can. When I was little, watching TV, I often fantasised, If only I could be like Alfred Hui in the future, handsome, a professional dentist, and a singer too! 🥹 Although this is just a small beginning, There's still a lot to learn slowly. But I really want to sincerely thank myself. Wong Chun Man, you finally did it. 2. First time watching a hip replacement surgery. 3. Me on placement in 2019.. 4. My colleague suddenly said during lunch break.
