Indonesia Part 2: Lombok to Sulawesi

Indonesia Part 2: Lombok, Komodo, Flores & Sulawesi Lombok has been one of my favourite islands! I did the 3-day trek to summit Rinjani (3726m), another scooter road trip, a few more hikes in these amazing mountains, some beach time, and great food all over the place. Komodo and Labuan Bajo were fantastic! I experienced some of the best (and most expensive) dives I've ever done, with crystal blue water, beautiful islands and mountains, and of course, we saw the Komodo dragons, which were a bit intimidating. My road trip around Flores was beautiful but ultimately much too long, as this island is huge and quite remote. However, I did see some beautiful volcanoes and tribal villages. Flores coffee is also really good! Sulawesi had some really nice highlights like the Banggai islands and Togean islands, but it was also a bit too remote and big to cover with my visa running out (think 10-12 hour bus days!). All in all, Indonesia was one of my top two countries to travel in Asia so far. It's so diverse, massive, and there's still so much left to see. I guess I'll have to come back!
