Uluru & Kata Tjuta: Days 3 & 4

Days 3 & 4 of my Uluru trip Day 3, Uluru sunrise & Kata Tjuta Waited a while for sunrise, but the rock changed colour in seconds☀️ Two walks at Kata Tjuta, 10 km in total. Getting hotter each day, so this one was tough… But on the first 7 km walk, running uphill was so much fun!! Every time I saw another slope, I ran up it🏃‍♀️ The second walk had shade from the huge rocks and the best views. Could’ve stayed there all day. The red rocks and all that green looked amazing🌿🧡 Day 4, Up close to Uluru Sunrise right by Uluru, then further in between the rocks. Found a spot where rain had left marks down the rock, almost like a waterfall. Then around to the other side to see the rock art and places Aboriginal people once used. We often saw Aboriginal people around Uluru. Got a little glimpse into their long history, and Australia’s too. Apart from Kings Canyon, no tours—just the three of us exploring. Got so lucky with the timing. Sometimes we had the whole place to ourselves✨ Such a special experience🤍
