Our Home Cafe: A Heartfelt Thank You

Since 2017, this has been our local cafe. A place where we always felt safe, relaxed, and truly at ease. As someone who works in the same industry, I know how difficult it is to keep that sense of warmth and consistency—not just in the drinks and food you serve, but in the atmosphere, the energy, the way you make people feel. And yet, for the past eight years, Dan and Jacqui have done exactly that. Always chill, always happy, always real. It’s honestly a rare kind of professionalism—one that comes from heart, not habit. I feel so lucky to have found a cafe that feels like home, and I can’t even count how many times this place has lifted my spirits. That’s why the locals gather here. It’s small, filled with smiles, kids playing, dogs are happy, people greeting each other, laughter, and the smell of good coffee and fresh food. It warms your heart the moment you step in. Dan and Jacqui created that magic. They showed me what it truly means for a cafe to become part of everyday life. I’m endlessly grateful. As we return to Japan and continue my journey with coffee in a different culture, I know the foundation of the service I believe in comes from them.
