Simatai Great Wall: Our Visit

China Great Wall travel tip! Some parts of the Great Wall are very touristy, and others are less restored, so you can nearly have this amazing world heritage to yourself! We went to the portion called Simatai. There's some climbing involved, but the view of the Great Wall is spectacular. You can walk up to the Great Wall (2-3 hours) or take the cable car to save some energy for once you are up there.
