Our Kuala Lumpur Family Adventures

The noise, traffic, and humidity of KL have been quite a change after relaxing in Langkawi. We've visited the Petaling Street Market where I could have bought a genuine Rolex, explored several temples and mosques, experienced the eco walk, enjoyed a firefly boat ride, and seen the Batu Caves. We also fed some friendly monkeys, rode Segways during a tour in the Botanical Gardens, and celebrated New Year's at the KL Tower while watching the fireworks over the city. We even experienced high tea, much to Lachy's disinterest in the whole idea! The shopping centres here are huge; we would have loved a golf buggy to get around them as your legs get pretty tired trying to see it all! It's been lovely to spend quality time as a family before Annabel moves to Katherine next week. We're heading home tonight and back to reality. We've been watching the devastating effect of the fires, and it's so sad to see our beautiful country like this. We're thinking of everyone back home and hope the koala who lives in our front garden is still there when we get back. Stay safe, everyone.
