My Colombian Coffee Immersion Trip Map

First few days of my coffee immersion trip to Colombia 🇨🇴 I've been preparing for this trip for three months now. As a Myanmar passport holder, it wasn't the easiest trip to plan! I initially planned to fly with United Airlines and even bought tickets, but I later found out I needed a U.S. transit visa, which was incredibly difficult to get on time. So, I had to change my flight to Latam, transiting through New Zealand and Chile. That was a 35-hour flight, the longest I've ever had! For the first two days, I didn't do any coffee-related activities. Instead, I focused on learning more about the social, historical, and cultural aspects of Colombia. It's amazing to me how Bogotá, a city at such a high altitude of 2625m, is a massive city with around 7 million people. On the first day, we walked around neighbourhoods, popped into some local pubs, tried some local dishes, and experienced Bogotá's nightlife. The second day, I spent most of my time with Sebastian's family. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. In the morning, Seb and his uncles and I went on a bike trip to the north of Bogotá. Later, I joined their family hangout at their home, had some great conversations, and enjoyed delicious meals. Now it's the third day! We went to some cafes, walked around the city centre, and visited the fallen Lord of Monserrate, which is located at 3,200 masl. It's the highest region I've ever been to in my life. In a few days, we'll be visiting a lot of coffee farms, so there's a lot more exciting stuff to come!
