HMMWV LS Swap Progress

The goal for this HMMWV project is just to have fun, be super low budget, minimal time invested, and be simple/reliable. Evening on operation budget LS swap: Using $25 Amazon small block chevy to LS adaptors I put the engine in the forward most position on the mounts. I did have to trim a little off the corner of the HMMWV mount to clear the casting on the 5.3. This location landed the 4l80e on the TH400 crossmember and I just had to drill two holes for the mounting studs. I then got the NP241 bolted up. Looks like I will need to shorten the rear driveline about an inch. I also set the radiator back in place to check the LS clutch fan. Radiator is sitting about 1/4" low since the mounting bolts aren't in. I'm going to try a 4cyl chev colorado fan clutch to try to get the fan further into the shroud.
