Chapter 6 of 💍
👰🏻♀️ : 【 Wedding Gown 👗 】
I’ve seen so much advice online saying: “Don’t rush into making a decision. Try more, explore more, and eventually you’ll find the one you really like.”
Well… that was NOT the case for me HAHA
I literally made my decision on my first day of exploring lol.
I actually started looking quite late — around June — after my MUA was like, “Why haven’t you found your dress yet? A lot of my other brides who are getting married after you already fixed theirs!” 😆
I started by scrolling through different bridal shops on IG and messaging them to ask about prices. I made a little list with all the details, and for anything that was already out of my budget, I just crossed it off straight away. Didn’t even go for a fitting because I really didn’t want to stretch my budget too much. And if you didn’t know, most bridal shops also have fitting charges — for example, around RM50/person for a 1-hour fitting, although it varies from shop to shop.
Honestly, I didn’t want to go through too much hassle either 😬 Plus, I feel the more gowns I see, the more confused I get. So I only visited 3 shops in one day… and ended up deciding on one of them on the same day LOL. That’s it. As chill as that 🤣
My 3 simple criteria were :
✨ Fits my budget
✨ Matches my vibe — the designs, overall feel of the shop
✨ Friendly & helpful assistant
And basically… that’s how I picked my gown! 👰🏻♀️🤍
Maybe “try more, explore more” works for some brides, but for me, once I found the one that ticked all 3 boxes, I was like… okay, this is it. 😚 hehe *will share on the gown shop & price in details after the wedding!
