How This Policy Works
This Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of the Yuno Terms and Conditions. It explains how refunds, cancellations, changes, no-shows, and disputes are handled for paid events, experiences, classes, gatherings, Job Listings, job promotion, supported Casual shifts, and other paid services on Yuno.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-excludable rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
Organiser-Created Activities
Unless Yuno clearly states otherwise for a specific activity, paid activities are created, offered, sold, organised, and delivered by the organiser who publishes the listing. Yuno provides the platform, booking, payment facilitation, support, and moderation tools.
Organisers are responsible for setting accurate activity details and lawful cancellation rules. Any organiser-specific rules shown in an activity listing must comply with consumer protection laws and this policy.
If an Organiser Cancels
If an organiser cancels an activity, cannot safely or lawfully deliver it, or cannot provide the main paid offering, Yuno may refund affected attendees the full amount paid for the affected booking, including the Yuno service fee, unless a different remedy is required or permitted by law.
Yuno may recover refunded amounts, chargebacks, payment provider fees, and related adjustments from funds held for the organiser, future payouts, or other amounts owed to the organiser, to the extent permitted by law.
If an Activity Is Materially Changed
A material change may include a significant change to the date, time, location, headline host, headline performer, main activity, important inclusions, safety conditions, or other details that a reasonable attendee would consider important before booking.
If a material change is made and you cannot or do not wish to attend because of that change, Yuno may provide a refund or other remedy required by law. Minor schedule, venue room, weather, or operational adjustments may not always qualify as a material change.
If an Attendee Cancels
If you cancel your booking through Yuno, the refund available to you will depend on the activity listing, the cancellation flow, any lawful organiser-specific rules, payment provider requirements, and applicable law.
Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, Yuno's service fee is non-refundable when an attendee chooses to cancel. The amount payable to the organiser may be refunded, partially refunded, or not refunded according to the cancellation rules shown before checkout.
No-Shows and Late Arrival
If you do not attend an activity, arrive late, fail to meet stated entry requirements, or are refused entry for a lawful reason such as safety, capacity, age, identity, intoxication, threatening behaviour, or breach of Yuno policies, you may not be entitled to a refund unless required by law or stated in the activity listing.
Unsafe, Unlawful, or Misleading Activities
Yuno may cancel, restrict, remove, or investigate activities that appear unsafe, unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, unauthorised, or in breach of Yuno policies. Where appropriate, Yuno may issue refunds, suspend payouts, request more information, or take account action.
Payment Timing
Approved refunds are usually returned to the original payment method. Refund timing may depend on Stripe or another payment provider, the payment method, fraud checks, chargeback process, bank processing times, connected account balance, and legal or risk review.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you dispute a payment with your card issuer, bank, or payment provider, Yuno and the organiser may provide relevant booking, attendance, refund, communication, and policy records to respond to the dispute. Organisers remain responsible for chargebacks and related costs connected with their activities, to the extent permitted by law.
Paid Job Listings
A long-term Job Listing fee purchases the listing period and placement tier shown before payment. The listing period generally starts when payment succeeds and the listing becomes publishable. Featured placement provides the badge and relative priority described at purchase but does not guarantee impressions, applications, interviews, suitable candidates, or a hire.
If a Job Poster changes its mind, fills the role, closes the listing early, or no longer needs the listing after publication begins, the fee is generally not refundable because the publishing and placement service has started. This does not limit any right to a refund or other remedy under applicable law.
If Yuno cannot publish the listing because Yuno cannot supply the purchased service, or a material technical failure substantially prevents delivery of the purchased listing period, Yuno may provide a reasonable extension, replacement placement, account credit, partial refund, or full refund depending on the failure and any remedy required by law.
If Yuno rejects, pauses, or removes a listing because the Job Poster supplied false or incomplete information, lacked authority, breached law or Yuno policies, created safety or fraud risk, or failed required verification, Yuno may refuse a refund to the extent permitted by law. Yuno may still provide a refund or credit where appropriate to the circumstances or required by law.
Urgent Hiring and Paid Promotion
An urgent-hiring or other promotional fee purchases the stated promotion for the stated listing and period. Promotion may end early if the listing is closed, filled, suspended, removed, or otherwise becomes unavailable. A Job Poster's decision to close or fill the role early does not ordinarily create a refund entitlement.
Notification delivery, ranking, views, applications, acceptance, attendance, and hiring are not guaranteed. A failure to reach a particular user is not by itself a failure to supply the promotion. If a material Yuno technical failure prevents substantially all of the purchased promotion, Yuno may extend, replace, credit, or refund the affected portion as required or appropriate.
Casual Shift Cancellations and Payments
For supported Casual shifts, a payment authorisation may be released or cancelled if the Worker or Job Poster cancels before work, the selected payment method fails, the Worker does not accept the offer, a no-show is established, or Yuno cancels the shift for safety, legal, fraud, or policy reasons. Release timing depends on the payment provider and card issuer.
If no work was performed and no Worker payment is due, Yuno will ordinarily avoid capturing or will release the estimated Worker payment and associated platform fee, subject to provider processing and any lawful amount already incurred. If some work was performed, the Job Poster remains responsible for all wages and entitlements for that work and Yuno may capture or recover the amount supported by the confirmed or resolved time record.
If additional time is confirmed, Yuno may charge or authorise an additional amount for the Worker payment and the disclosed platform fee. If the additional charge fails, the Job Poster remains responsible for paying the Worker and all legal entitlements outside or through another lawful method and remains liable to Yuno for any amount Yuno paid or incurred on the Job Poster's behalf.
A platform decision about cancellation, no-show, hours, evidence, authorisation, capture, refund, or payout is an administrative decision for Yuno's services. It does not finally determine statutory employment rights or remove any legal obligation to correct an underpayment.
